Buildings management specialist Safe & Sound Control Systems has been sold to learnd in a deal advised by KBS Corporate.

Safe & Sound, which commenced trading in 1991, delivers building maintenance technologies by offering in-house design, software services and post-completion support.

Its energy-efficient and sustainable solutions – including control systems and panels, electrical installations, commissioning and engineering services – are provided to a client base comprising residential developments, educational institutions, corporate office spaces and manufacturing facilities.

In a transaction advised by Andrew Dodd, KBS Corporate Director, Safe & Sound was acquired by learnd, a leading platform for building automation and digital building technologies, which already optimises over 10,000 buildings across its group and has offices in Dublin and Belfast.

A statement from learnd read: “The acquisition adds further scale, depth and specialist expertise to learnd’s growing team, enhancing its ability to deliver integrated, future-ready building solutions.

“Safe & Sound will continue to operate as it does today, maintaining its strong focus on customers and project delivery, while benefiting from learnd’s investment, platform capabilities and long-term growth opportunities.

“The company’s culture and values closely align with learnd’s partnership-driven and sustainable growth strategy.”

Legal services for Safe & Sound were provided by K3 Law, a sister company of KBS Corporate within the K3 Capital Group.

KBS Corporate’s Andrew Dodd was delighted to bring the transaction to a successful conclusion and commented: “It was a pleasure to work with all parties and I wish both companies the very best in their collaboration going forwards.”
