F1 grand prix trophy supplier acquires school products firm
Primary Teaching Services (PTS) has been sold to a company which has manufactured trophies for Lewis Hamilton’s victories at the British Grand Prix.
Incorporated in 1995, PTS holds a dominant market position for supplying motivational reward products for primary schools.
Among the wide range of products the e-commerce company distributes are stickers, badges, medals, certificates and stationery such as personalised pencils, rulers and bookmarks.
In a deal advised by Fabio Rambelli, KBS Corporate Associate Director, PTS was sold to Aford Awards, a subsidiary of industrial group CEPS plc.
Aford Awards was founded by former professional footballer and manager Andy Ford. Established in 1980, Aford Awards has become a leading supplier of trophies and awards across a broad client base including sporting, commercial and educational organisations.
Aford Awards has supplied products to major football clubs and competitions, along with the official trophies for the British Grand Prix on multiple occasions when Sir Lewis Hamilton was triumphant.
The ‘bolt-on’ acquisition of PTS aligns with CEPS’ value creation strategy for shareholders.
Fabio Rambelli of KBS thanked the team at Nuvo Legal for their work alongside the vendors of PTS.
“It’s been a great pleasure working with the sellers and buyers through this transaction and I’m very happy to have been able to assist the shareholders of PTS in reaching their sale goal,” said Fabio.
“I trust that PTS will continue to flourish under Aford’s ownership and I wish all parties the best of luck moving forward.”
