Aerospace Chemical Supplies (ACS) has been sold to fellow distributor ConRo Electronics in a strategic transaction described as a “natural fit”.

Mark Crisp, Director of ACS, co-founded the company in 2012. ACS has since become an established stockist and distributor of oils, greases, sealants, lubricants, adhesives, cleaning agents, paints, coatings and tapes to the aerospace industry.

In a transaction advised by Sean Clarkson, KBS Corporate Deal Executive, ACS was acquired by ConRo, a specialist distributor of high-performance speciality chemicals and materials.

ConRo supports customers across aerospace, aviation, defence, MRO, and OEM manufacturing environments, along with other high-reliability industries, by supplying over 20,000 products from more than 200 brands.

“ConRo is a business that closely reflects the values we’ve built at ACS: customer focus, responsiveness and technical support. This was an important factor for us,” commented Mark Crisp.

“By joining forces, we are able to offer our customers greater access to stock, stronger support across key manufacturers, and enhanced systems, while continuing to deliver the same level of service and expertise they expect.”

In announcing the new partnership, ConRo stated “this development brings together two established businesses that are very much aligned in their customer-centric, solutions-driven approach, delivering a broader, more resilient and better-supported supply solution — combining technical expertise, increased scale and enhanced infrastructure”.

Conor Ash, Managing Director of ConRo, said: “ACS is a highly respected business within the industry, and it’s impressive what Mark and the team have built over the years. Their ethos, customer focus and reputation strongly align with our own, making this a natural fit.

“By combining our strengths, we are increasing availability, improving access to key materials and enhancing the supply-chain solutions we provide. Importantly, customers will continue to work with the people and service they know, now supported by greater stock, stronger systems and expanded capabilities.

“Our focus is on delivering a stronger, more capable partner which supports customers with speed, reliability and technical expertise.”

KBS Corporate’s Sean Clarkson reflected on a positive outcome for all involved, commenting: “I’m delighted this acquisition has successfully concluded for both parties, and I extend my very best wishes to Conro Electronics and Mark for continued success and prosperity in the future.”
