A&D Carbon Solutions acquired by Earnz

Renewable energy specialist A&D Carbon Solutions has been sold to Earnz, a “visionary leader” in the growing demand for decarbonisation services.

Swansea-based A&D, which began trading in 2013, provides sustainable, eco-friendly heating solutions, including solar panels, heat pumps, boiler upgrades, electric storage heaters and heating controls, along with cavity wall, internal wall and loft insulation.

KBS was instructed by co-founders Alan Thomas and Dean Holloway to facilitate a sale of the company. In a transaction advised on by Luke Rae, Corporate Deal Executive, A&D was sold to Cheltenham-based Earnz plc, of which prominent South West entrepreneur Bob Holt OBE is the chairman.

Holt is widely experienced in the energy sector having previously been chairman of Mears Group – leading its flotation on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange – and Sureserve Group.

A&D joins the portfolio of Earnz as it strives to become a significant operator in the energy sector, with a buy-and-build strategy aided by increasing levels of government funding for clean energy and the transition to net zero.
